Intergovernmental Cooperation Council Plans Meetings
The Walworth County Intergovernmental Cooperation Council will hold its next meeting Tuesday, August 26, 2008 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Walworth County Government Center, Elkhorn. August 26, 2008 Agenda
The council consists of elected officials and municipal administrators from the Walworth County municipalities.
The primary focus of the council is to coordinate the best practices of municipal government, to explore potential areas of intergovernmental cooperation, to address water supply and quality issues, and to discuss legislative issues of mutual concern.
Meetings have been scheduled for Tuesdays, August 26, 2008; November 25, 2008; January 27, 2009; and April 28, 2009.

County Holds Public Input Meetings for Smart Growth Initiative
Public participation meetings were held in December 2007 by Walworth County for the multi-jurisdictional comprehensive planning program. The county has released three “Fact Sheets” with regard to the planning process.

The Walworth County Board held a public hearing August 7, 2007, to consider the proposed Redistricting Plan drafted by the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.

County Board Supervisors Seek Salary, Benefit Package
The Walworth County Board of Supervisors is considering an amendment to the salary resolution that calls for the establishment of $30,000 salaries for county supervisors and $45,000 for the County Board chairman, with full benefits.
