Compost Improvements
Ever wonder what happens to all the “stuff” the village picks up from the curb? Where does the hundreds of truckloads of leaves and the countless piles of brush end up? This material is recycled at the Village’s compost site at the Duck Pond Recreation Area. Last summer the Village began usuing a different means of recycling -- a “Tub Grinder” to shred all of the organic wastes. The Public Works Department produces a combination of products that residents and contractors use in their various landscaping projects.
