Plan Commission Sets Public Hearing for Zoning Amendment
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission approved a motion at its regular monthly meeting Monday, September 29, 2008 to schedule a public hearing for a proposed zoning code amendment.
The proposed amendment to Section 17-7 (6)(f) will be considered at a public hearing on Monday, October 27, 2008 beginning at 5:30 PM. Public Hearing Notice

Plan Commission Approves TID Resolution, Lakefront Amendments
Following two public hearings, the Village of Fontana Plan Commission voted at its monthly meeting Monday, August 25, 2008 to approve a Resolution authorizing amendments to the Project Plan for the Tax Increment Financing District No. 1 and to recommend Village Board approval of proposed amendments to the Lakefront Zoning Ordinance.
The Plan Commission also voted to recommend Village Board approval of a Building, Site and Operational Plan filed for the new business Salt H2O Chick.

Plan Commission Public Hearings August 25, 2008
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission has scheduled a public hearing for Monday, August 25, 2008 beginning at 5:30 PM to consider a proposed amendment to the Project Plan for the Village of Fontana on Geneva Lake Tax Increment District No. 1.
The Plan Commission also will conduct a public hearing at the August 25, 2008 meeting to consider amendments to the Lakefront Zoning Ordinance.

Plan Commission Directs Changes to Lakefront Amendments
Following a public hearing Monday, July 28, 2008, the Village of Fontana Plan Commission directed staff to redraft the proposed amendments to Section 18-27(b)(4) and scheduled a public hearing for next month’s meeting to present the redrafted amendments with the other amendments proposed for Sections 18-17 and 18-80(c)(10).

Commission Sets Public Hearing for Lakefront Amendments
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission scheduled a public hearing for Monday, July 28, 2008 beginning at 5:30 pm to consider proposed amendments to the lakefront zoning ordinance.
The Plan Commission also voted at its monthly meeting Monday, June 30, 2008 to recommend Village Board approval of an amended plan for the Abbey Provident Hotel Manager, LLC Spa renovation project and of an amended Precise Implementation Plan for the signage plan for the Mill Street Retail Building, 441 Mill Street.

Plan Commission Favors Signage Amendments, Raze Order
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission recommended Village Board approval of proposed amendments to the signage ordinance and of a raze order for the residence at 731 Aweogon Road at the monthly meeting held Tuesday, May 27, 2008.

Plan Commission Refers Lakefront Amendments Back to Staff, Schedules Public Hearing for Signage Ordinance Amendments
Following a public hearing Monday night, April 28, 2008 the Village of Fontana Plan Commission directed Village staff to revamp the seven proposed amendments to the lakefront zoning code based on the comments made at the public hearing.
If the revamped amendments are favorably reviewed by the Plan Commission, a subsequent public hearing will be scheduled.
In other business April 28, the Plan Commission scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, May 27, 2008 to consider proposed amendments to the signage ordinance.

Plan Commission Considers Lakefront Zoning Amendments
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission discussed proposed lakefront zoning code amendments and scheduled a public hearing for Monday, April 28, 2008 to consider the amendments in the “Draft A” proposal.
Village Board approval of an amendment to the Abbey Springs Precise Implementation Plan to accommodate a clubhouse renovation plan also was recommended by the Plan Commission at its regular monthly meeting Monday, December 17, 2007.

Plan Commission Favors CUP Applications
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission voted to recommend Village Board approval of Conditional Use Permit applications filed for the Fontana Corner Market and All For Ewe/Posh Threads at the monthly meeting held Monday, February 25, 2008.
The Plan Commission also voted to recommend Village Board approval of an amendment to the Abbey Springs precise implementation plan to accommodate a renovation plan for the boathouse, and scheduled a public hearing for Monday, March 31, 2008 to consider a conditional use permit application filed by Cricket Communications to extend the existing telecommunications tower on the Robert Stewart property by 5 feet.

The Village of Fontana Plan Commission voted at its monthly meeting held Monday, January 28, 2008 to recommend approval of an amended Conditional Use Permit application filed by Barton and Joan Love and a zoning code amendment. Three zoning code amendments were forwarded to the Village Board with recommendations for approval by the Village of Fontana Plan Commission at its monthly meeting held Monday, November 26, 2007.

Ship-Shape Marine Receives Permit for Private Club
At a special joint meeting held Monday evening, August 27, 2007, the Village of Fontana Plan Commission and the Joint ETZ Committee voted to approve a Conditional Use Permit application filed for the Ship-Shape Marine, Inc., W5749 County Highway B, Walworth Township, to operate a private club for marine customers.
The Joint ETZ Committee also voted to schedule a public hearing for Monday, September 24, 2007, beginning at 6:00 pm to consider a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance regarding the maximum height in the B-2 ETZ General Business District.

Plan Commission Approves Love CUP
At its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, the Village of Fontana Plan Commission voted to approve a Conditional Use Permit application filed by Barton and Joan Love, 928B South Lakeshore Drive (STFV 00087 - Westgate), Fontana, WI, to develop three single-family residences with residential accessory structures in the RS-1 (Single-Family Residential District) Zoning District.
The Plan Commission also voted to recommend Village Board approval of the associated Condominium Plat and Declarations filed by Barton and Joan Love for the proposal.

Plan Commission Sets Public Hearings
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission voted at its regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 30, 2007 to schedule public hearings to be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 for a zoning amendment petition filed by the Village and for a conditional use permit application filed by Thomas Freytag.
The Plan Commission also voted to continue a third public hearing at the May 29, 2007 meeting for a conditional use permit application filed by Bruce Wilkinson to remove in excess of 30 percent of the existing protected trees on Lot 49 of the Country Club Estates subdivision. Minutes
