The Village of Fontana Plan Commission approved motions at its regular monthly meeting Monday, June 28, 2010 to recommend Village Board approval of a proposal to allow outdoor food service at Georgie B's Restaurant, 441 Mill Street, and to issue a raze order for the Harris property at 245 Third Avenue.

Plan Commission Recommends Ordinance Amendments, Sign Proposal
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission approved motions at its monthly meeting Monday, July 27, 2009 to recommend Village Board approval of an amendment to the Village's floodplain ordinance, a temporary sign proposal and a certified survey map.
The proposed amendments to the Floodplain Zoning Ordinance are required as part of a FEMA/Wisconsin DNR project to create a Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map. The temporary sign proposal is for Par Development's Cliffs of Fontana subdivision, and the CSM was filed by Steele Alison Whowell for a lot line adjustment of parcels located off Stearns Road. Plan Commission Recommends Tree Ordinance, BSOP Amendments
The Village of Fontana Plan Commission approved motions at its monthly meeting Monday, June 29, 2009 to recommend Village Board approval of amendments to the Tree Ordinance and to the Building, Site and Operational Plan for Fontana Jewelers, 553 Valley View Drive.
The proposed amendments to the Tree Ordinance culminates an eight-month process that was directed by the Village Board in November 2008. The BSOP amendment filed by Fontana Jewelers is for a building addition plan.

The Village of Fontana Plan Commission and Joint ETZ Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2009 has been cancelled.
With Village President Ron Pollitt passing away on February 17, 2009, and other members out of town and unable to attend the meeting, a quorum became a concern and the meeting was cancelled by Chairman George Spadoni.
The public hearings will be rescheduled for Monday, March 30, 2009, for the application filed by Steve Beers and the Petition to Amend the ETZ Zoning Ordinance filed by the Jean Black Barton Trust.

Lakeshore Drive and Lot 2 CSM 1515 on Stearns Road) for a four-unit condominium association in the RS-1 Residential Zoning District will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 beginning at 5:30 PM.
The public hearing will be opened at 5:30 PM on February 23, 2009 and comments from the public will be solicited; however, the hearing will be continued to Monday, March 30, 2009 beginning at 5:30 PM because additional documents have been submitted. Following a public hearing Monday night, April 28, 2008 the Village of Fontana Plan Commission directed Village staff to revamp the seven proposed amendments to the lakefront zoning code based on the comments made at the public hearing.
If the revamped amendments are favorably reviewed by the Plan Commission, a subsequent public hearing will be scheduled.
