Village Hall
Most Village offices are located at 175 Valley View Drive, in the Village Hall.
The Village Hall is open from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM to 12 PM on Saturday.
Assessor's Office
The Assessor is responsible for maintaining the valuation of residential, commercial, and lakefront properties in the Village of Fontana within state statutory limits. The Assessor is a contractor to the Village. To make contact, call the Village Hall at 262-275-6136.
Building Inspector & Zoning Department
The Building Inspector and Zoning Department is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 AM to 11 AM.

Municipal Court
The Municipal Court handles all traffic and ordinance violations.

Police Department (Emergency is "911")
The Police Department provides crime prevention and protection to life and property in the community. They provide 24 hour patrol through all the neighborhoods.

Fire Department & Rescue Squad (Emergency is "911")
The Fontana Fire Department and Fontana Rescue Squad are both volunteer departments. While the Fire Department is equipped with Village funds, the Rescue Squad is mostly dependent on contributions from citizens and businesses.
Property Taxes
Property tax bills may be paid by mail or at the Village Hall through January 31. At least the first half must be paid by January 31 at the Village Hall. The second installment is due by July 31 at the Walworth County Courthouse, Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Voter Registration
Voter registration is conducted at the Village Hall any time during the year and on the day of the election. In order to register, you must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States. One form of identification is required and must show your legal name and your Fontana address.
Garbage Pick-up
Ordinary refuse and kitchen garbage is picked up once per week on Monday morning. Get your garbage to the street by 7:00 AM on collection day, but not earlier than the evening before pick-up. On holidays, the garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day, to Tuesday morning. Garbage should be containerized in 20-35 gallon metal or similarly approved sturdy containers. No container shall weigh more than 60 pounds when loaded. Containers shall be removed from the street the same day, after pick-up.
Recycling
Johns Disposal Service provides recycling services to Fontana residents. Detailed instructions are available online or you can pick them up at the Village Hall. Fontana now has “single stream” recycling, which means that all recyclable items can be combined in blue bags. Blue bags can be purchased at most grocery or hardware stores. Recycling is picked up on Monday morning and your bags should be at the street by 6:00 AM. If you have questions or need more information, contact the Village Hall by phone at 262-275-6136 or email.
Yard Waste Collection
According to Village ordinance, Fontana residents are no longer allowed to put yard waste in with their ordinary household waste. Residents are encouraged to compost their grass clippings and leaves. As an alternative, you may take your yard waste to the compost site at the Duck Pond Recreation Area. Water and Sewer Billing Information
The basic charge for the water and sewer bill is $56.95 whether you use the service or not. The separate charges are $16.95 for the water meter, plus $2.83 per 1,000 gallons of water used. The sewer charge is $41.20 for the first 5,000 gallons of water used and $4.75 per 1,000 gallons after that.
